Located not far from downtown Tucson is a
place where we can all slow down a little and take a deep breath.
Campo Urbano is a place to see simple, sustainable ideas in action,
plant a garden with your neighbor or learn about yourself while spending
time with a horse.
Campo Urbano was established to provide a living laboratory for the community
to explore sustainable living concepts that are appropriate and usable
in an urban environment. The ranch offers the opportunity to;
Develop green job skills by participating in apprenticeship opportunities
Learn about water harvesting, gardening in arid environments, native seeds, vermiculture and composting
Buy environmentally friendly products and locally produced produce
Explore green technologies and sustainable living
Engage in hands on environmental learning
Participate in growing community crops
Do you have a passion for composting? Love to garden, but lack outdoor space? Campo Urbano is seeking volunteers to assist with creating a vermiculture program and a demonstration garden. If you are interested please contact us by phone at 622-3933 or by email.
Campo de Oeste is an experiential environmental education program for Tucson youth ages 10-14 that: Provides
